Chronic Illness
Our occupational therapy services support individuals living with chronic illness, including those navigating the complex overlap of hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD), dysautonomias—including POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome)—and mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), often referred to as “the trifecta.” We take personalized trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach to help clients manage daily activities, conserve energy, regulate sensory and autonomic demands, and build routines that support their unique needs. Treatment may focus on pacing, activity modification, joint protection, adaptive strategies and improving participation in self-care, work, school, and meaningful activities.
